For the first time in its history, the Barbados Red Cross Society (BRCS) has a female Director-General at its helm. The long-anticipated appointment of Danielle Toppin to the role fills the space left by the untimely passing of the organisation’s late Director-General, Edmond Bradshaw in 2017.

Edmond Errol Bradshaw was born in Barbados on October 14th 1954, to Fred and Edwena Bradshaw. He was educated at the Boy’s Foundation School, Codrington Theological College, The University of the West Indies and BIMAP.

The Barbados Red Cross Society recently received its annual gift of food vouchers from Chefette Restaurants. Since 1974 Chefette has been supporting the Charity with providing over 1.7 million meals for the less fortunate in our communities. The assistance is in the form of monthly donations of Beef and Potatoes given for its Meals on Wheels programme.
